NFS-Toolkit #1

NFS-Toolkit is under intensive development. It will be a unified tool which will allow to create a cars and whole game's world. At the moment only Need For Sped Most Wanted is almost (I am still working on the .OBJ import functionality) fully supported so all examples are related to this game.

The screenshot below shows how the user interface looks like:

Current version allows to load only the selected part of the game world. This will speed up game modding and minimize the required resources.

But of course nothing prevents to load even a whole world (except resources).

It's possible to delete map parts (sections). In the example below all sections except 'Q16' and 'Y' were deleted. The 'Y' sections contain textures only.

Another function that already works is the saving function. The screenshots below show the result of the delete operation in the game:

Next thing that works is the .OBJ export function. The exported file can be opened in any 3D Editor, that supports the Wavefront OBJ file format, like Blender or even built-in Windows 10 app named 3D Builder. All associated textures are also automatically exported.

    1. + that will be nice to see a script or something that after adding like other city (ex. Rockport to Carbon) that could automaticly change the EA TRAX to MW one in carbon, but i thi8nk its too earrly to add as advanced things as this.

And good luck in toolkit development :)

    4. Actually we can rip the maps from other games , so preparing them won't be a problem. What awaits us is the import procedure , we know only what can be done as of now , for the moment.

  10. NFSU360 Will it be possible to add new parts of the map to the game or not? Will the program work on such system modifications as NFS Vlted 4.2 (Open / save / import / export / edit / add / delete / rename)?

    2. OK Im happy.
Editing car sound will be possible? Or edit music in the game (Soundtrack).

    3. Car sound editing is possible through VltEd, so there's no reason that feature should be implemented here. Feeling a bit sad about the soundtrack tho :/
