This tutorial is made using trial version of 3DS Max Studio. First step is make a raw car model. Ready model don't have any materials and textures. It look like this:

NFS:U2 Geometry Compiler Usage

NFS:U2 Geometry Compiler creates geometry.bin from Wavefront .obj files. Also this tool supports ZModeler v1.x .z3d files. This files must be prepared into 3D editor not just downloaded from internet. Geometry parts must have only names supported by game. Parts that have invalid names will be invisible.

ModTools - Textures

In Need For Speed Underground to Undercover each car has textures stored into binary archive (TEXTURES.BIN). To create it from texture files use tool NFS Textures Compiler (released packages has compilers for specific game eg. NFS:U2/MW Texture Compiler for NFS: Underground 2 and NFS: Most Wanted).
