NFS:U2 - How to make neons?

Making underbody neons (there are also trunk neons and engine neons)



1. Create a box (object in 3D editor) and name it: _FRONT_BUMPER_1_NEON_A00 (it will be starting position for the first neon) nearby create another box and name it: _FRONT_BUMPER_1_NEON_B00 (it will be ending position for the first neon).

2. Add these mountpoints to mpoints.txt:
_FRONT_BUMPER_1_NEON_A00 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT00_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_1_NEON_B00 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT00_FRONT_BUMPER_A

3. Now add another two neons (front bumper has made from 3 neons) :
create boxes, and name them:

_FRONT_BUMPER_2_NEON_A00
_FRONT_BUMPER_2_NEON_B00
_FRONT_BUMPER_3_NEON_A00
_FRONT_BUMPER_3_NEON_B00

and add them to mpoints.txt:

_FRONT_BUMPER_2_NEON_A00 0.0 0.0 0.0  GTO_KIT00_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_2_NEON_B00 0.0 0.0 0.0  GTO_KIT00_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_3_NEON_A00 0.0 0.0 0.0  GTO_KIT00_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_3_NEON_B00 0.0 0.0 0.0  GTO_KIT00_FRONT_BUMPER_A

Do the same thing with REAR BUMPER neons and SIDE SKIRT neons.

Remember:

  • front bumper neons must be assigned to FRONT BUMPER
  • rear bumper neons must be assigned to REAR BUMPER
  • side skirt neons must be assigned to SIDE SKIRT


Note: that neons works only with stock parts, if you want neons working with custom parts, you need another mountpoints and assign them to custom parts, example:

_FRONT_BUMPER_1_NEON_A01 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT01_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_1_NEON_B01 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT01_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_2_NEON_A01 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT01_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_2_NEON_B01 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT01_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_3_NEON_A01 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT01_FRONT_BUMPER_A
_FRONT_BUMPER_3_NEON_B01 0.0 0.0 0.0 GTO_KIT01_FRONT_BUMPER_A
