NFS-Toolkit #5 - Map conversion from Carbon to Most Wanted


Recently made progress allows to finally test one of the biggest advantages of the tool - map conversion between EAGL games. First ever made conversion was from NFS Carbon to NFS Most Wanted because those two games are very well supported by the tool. Missing things (animations, traffic) will be successively added.

    1. Probably not possible,as UG1 wasn't freeroam able in the first place and even if you can freeroam in UG1 the map is not finished either.

    1. NFSU1 is really not freeroamable in the first place,as the map is largely unfinished as it was not meant for freeroam.

  14. Will we be able to convert maps from non EAGL games like NFSMW 2012, Burnout Paradise or Test Drive Unlimited 1/2?

    3. GlobalEd - will allow to add new cars.

      NFS-Toolkit supports .OBJ format so it will be possible to convert maps from different games but this will require some additional work (collision must be created as 3d mesh)

    5. VLT-ed can't add new cars but it can create/modify the database for new cars

VLTEd can already ADD cars but problem is that you need to ADD the CAR's model/mesh in the game file manually and with NFSC it is already possible but for NFSMW you need to add every model hash,which is basically not possible without the tool/part of toolkit GLOBALED which will add the model into the file.... again NFSU360 is a legend

    7. let me know on this page when it will be available to download the tool and whether as mentioned by the user or it would be safe to convert it has type TDU1 iTD2 it was epic and adding cars known as paradise for burnout fashion and other games and carbon nfs and under cover? I am curious to hope that in 2018 I bet the middle of this year in August or a bit later, thanks to once again nfs360 you are the best

  15. Isn't the NFSWO map just the Carbon & Most Wanted maps slapped together? if this means I can swap MW's map with NFS World's map, that'll be so cool!

    1. at the moment NFS World is not supported but when it will be then of course it should be possible to convert map between those games

    2. Problem with World's map is the lack of the unfinished bridge (in world it's just a tunnel) and the map ANYWAY needs to be converted probably due to incompatibility

  16. This tool should also allow one to go in and edit the race tracks? Like changing routes or make drags longer? (Ofc i am focused on Nfs Ps but still it would be funny in carbon or mw too)

    1. I don't think nfsu360 will ever add support for NFSUG1 as the map was not meant for freeroam,and it is largely unfinished,if you look at the unused areas (where no race track is assigned) its unfinished/has reset areas/has invisible collision mesh/barrier

    1. With the toolkit, Is it possible to use the AI racers' cars as a playable vehicle in Underground 1 and/or Underground 2?
    2. Will this allow addition of textures, specifically vinyls for cars, to the game?

    1. Not yet known dude :( I think it is going to be a long shot before he can release it since there is a lot of feature that being suggested and testing that needs to be done always check an update so you will know when will it be

    1. NFS Carbon doesn't have a sun which means no realtime shadows, basically, there is no point in having shadow models when there are no shadows
