NFS-CarToolkit v2.5 released



  • World – vinyls are supported
  • World – BC4 and BC5 textures are supported now (import & export)
  • improved support of materials in all games
  • the tool allows to load files created by the following tools: NFS:Underground ModTools, NFS:Underground 2 ModTools
  • autosculpt support has been improved 
  • improved support of ZModeler. Now you can export directly to .z3d files.
  • optimization of loading files .obj
  • the same marker can be assigned to multiple parts
  • marker rotations are now correctly calculated
  • File -> Reload DATA folder – data refresh without restarting the app
  • ConfigFree feature – allows you to export car without a configuration file in case the loaded file is from the same game
  • the output folder will be automatically created when it does not exist
  • TreeMode - objects can be displayed as tree

  • Viewer - upgrade to DirectX 11
  • Viewer - added grid floor
  • Viewer - added mini axis - shows the axes of world coordinate system as plain lines

  2. Cool! i was re-working on my NSX due random crashes, i'm almost done so i'll make sure to test it with this one.
    I wonder if you got rid of the black spots, something that can manually be fixed but it would be nice if is not doing it anymore

  3. I noticed that applying vinyls in certain car materials like plainnothing makes the game crash, it might be my car not sure. I'll have to try with something else

  6. Good news: I can finally yeet mwgc for good
    Bad news: there are still a couple of annoying bugs

    -z3d export yields all black materials in zmod1 (can get around that by opening in zmod2 then exporting back to old zmod1 format)
    -textures compiled with toolkit appear darkened and slightly garbled (at least for nfsu2/mw format)
    -material/texture lists (at least for nfsmw) are still incomplete (i can provide the fixed lists if you wish)

  8. I always get "Missing configuration for material" when exporting GEOMETRY.BIN unless config-free, even when renaming NFS original cars.

  10. i cant get it to work when exporting to nfs undercover. is says that i dont have the material config files.
