NFS-CarToolkit v2.7 released

The updated version has been released.

  • NFS World - improved support, there will be no more dark areas visible in the game
  • OBJ format now supports polygons (triangulation)
  • added support for generic parts like brakes, wheel etc

  • fixed the error causing some parts to be invisible
  • removed the "Target car is not selected" validation when car name is empty
  • NFS Undercover - added new complex shaders: UC_HEADLIGHTGLASS, UC_BRAKELIGHT, UC_WINDOW_REAR, UC_BRAKELIGHTGLASS, UC_BADGING_UNIVERSAL
  • NFS Underground 2 - added complex shader: U2_PAINT
  • more detailed log on export
  • added the ability to filter logs

    1. I wanted to ask the same question. I have very much respect for nfsu360 work about Car Toolkit and Vlt Ed, but it would be nice if nfsu360 want to release a beta version of Map Toolkit.

    4. Does this mean that older 512 video cards without Direct X 10.1 are not supported?

  5. Something wrong with spoilers and license plates. Impossible to set carskin to parts. Whanks for answer.

  6. Somehow after i compile NFSU2 car which has DXT3 or DXT5 .dds textures with alpha channels the parts using those textures disappear. And tail/headlight glow is barely visible, is that normal behaviour? U2_Skin shader works perfectly though :D

    2. DXT3 doesn't work, only DXT1 without alpha shows up.

  12. why is my car invisible in NFS world, but in toolkit is it as expected ?

  13. Thanks for the update :) . However, it seems that the tool can't replace traffic cars in NFS World. The tool appears to be fine, however the game crashes as soon as the modded traffic car loads. Is this bug fixable? Thanks again.

  14. I even extracted a traffic car from NFS World and simply reimported it without modifying anything, and the game still crashes when loading that car. In addition, I saw that the output GEOMETRY.bin file has less kilobytes than the original one. Maybe this is related to this bug

  16. And another small bug I've observed in all released versions of this toolkit is that all modded cars in NFS World, when painted in white, they look too bright, as if there was a shader problem. That's everything I've found that should be fixed.
