Updated NFS:U2 ModTools v1.1 released

Features in update 1.1:

NFS:U2 Geometry Compiler

  • support ZModeler v1.x uncompressed .z3d format
  • fixed support OBJ format
  • automatically flip texture mapping

NFS-CfgEd for NFS:U2:

  • fixed open function
  • fixed 'Manufacturer Logo' bug
  • the tool will be visible on the taskbar

NFS-Cfg Installer:

  • compatible with updated NFS-CfgEd

NFS-CfgEd replace NFS-DataEd.

There is a bug in ZModeler v2 that allows to save multiple objects with the same name in old .z3d file. This cause errors in NFS:U2 Geometry Compiler.
NFS:U2 Geometry Compiler don't support compressed z3d files. This cause error:
(Z3D) ERROR: Compressed .z3d file is not supported: ...z3d
To fix that just uncheck Use Compression in ZModeler Global Settings.

  2. I have a problem with the geometry compiler, too. I´ve edited the names of the carparts as it´s written in the tutorial and exportet it with the obj. exporter. But during the compiling i get this error:

    Loading geometry: C:\Users\---\Desktop\NFS\NFS U2 ModTools 1.1\bin\Ferrari.obj
ERROR: Indices count for GOLF_BASE_A exceeded 65536.
    ERROR: Failed to compile geometry.bin from a file: C:\Users\---\Desktop\NFS\NFS U2 ModTools 1.1\bin\Ferrari.obj

  3. You must reduce the number of triangles, or split model for more parts, eg. GOLF_BASE_A, GOLF_KIT00_BODY_A...
